Torque and energy can both reduce dimensionally to force × distance, but they are different physical quantities. This tool treats torque as a rotational moment.

Rotational work from a constant torque

—work (J)
—angle (rad)
—perp force N
—arm m

Work = τ × angular displacement in radians when torque is constant through the rotation.

Leave exactly one numeric field blank. Relationship: P = τ × 2π × RPM / 60.

Why RPM is required

Power and torque are not directly interchangeable without rotational speed. The same torque can represent very different power at different RPM.

Usage notes

1 lbf·ft = 1.3558179483314 N·m.
1 lbf·in = 0.112984829027617 N·m.
1 kgf·m = 9.80665 N·m.
1 ozf·in = 0.00706155181423 N·m.

For safety-critical tightening, always follow the manufacturer's specified procedure, wrench range, lubrication condition, adapter geometry and any torque-plus-angle requirement. A unit conversion alone cannot validate a fastener procedure.
