Quick material values
Density depends on temperature, pressure, composition, moisture and porosity. Conversion preserves the value you entered; it does not correct the material to another condition.

Scale conventions
SG = density ÷ chosen reference density.
°API = 141.5 / SG − 131.5.
°Bé heavy = 145 − 145 / SG.
°Bé light = 140 / SG − 130.
API and Baumé are convention-dependent liquid scales. Real standards specify reference temperatures and measurement procedures. This lab converts the mathematical scales from the SG you provide; it does not temperature-correct a sample.

Reference values are approximate examples, not material certificates. Alloys, temperature, pressure, moisture and porosity can shift real density substantially.
