Countdown setup

What are you counting down to?

Counting conventionStandard “days until” treats the reference date as day zero.
Annual mode uses the month and day from the selected target and automatically rolls to the next occurrence.
The live clock uses this device’s local time zone and browser daylight-saving rules. It is available when “Count from” is today.
Milestone plannerDates before the resolved target.
Whole numbers, comma or space separated. Up to 30 milestones.

Built for real countdowns

Exact date-only mathCalendar-day counting uses date serials, avoiding daylight-saving shifts in the primary “days until” answer.
Annual eventsBirthdays, anniversaries and yearly events can roll forward automatically, including an explicit February 29 policy.
Live clock separatedOptional hours/minutes/seconds use the device’s local time zone, so elapsed time stays conceptually separate from calendar days.
Planning milestonesGenerate D−100, D−50, D−30, D−14, D−7 and D−1 dates—or enter your own sequence.
Private saved eventsKeep multiple countdowns in local browser storage without an account or server upload.
Calendar exportExport the target and milestone reminders as standards-friendly all-day ICS events.

Counting conventions, made explicit

Standard: the reference date is day zero. Tomorrow is 1 day away. Include both dates: counts every calendar date in the span, so today through tomorrow is 2 dates.

Weekday counts are Monday–Friday only and deliberately do not pretend to know public holidays. For holiday-aware deadlines, use OneFreePlace’s Business Days Calculator instead.

i
Date-only and elapsed-time answers are different on purpose. The main answer is calendar-day arithmetic. The optional live clock uses your device’s local time and daylight-saving rules. For an event in another time zone, convert the event time first rather than assuming your local clock matches the event location.
