Why this goes beyond “today minus date”

Exact date-only engineCalendar-day counting is isolated from daylight-saving shifts and local clock changes.
Anniversary intelligenceSee completed anniversaries, last and next anniversary dates, and precise progress through the current anniversary year.
Pause-aware trackingOptionally subtract merged pause periods from an “active days” metric without rewriting the raw elapsed count.
Milestone historySee reached dates, the next configured milestone and an automatically suggested round-number milestone.
Live elapsed clockWhen counting through today, add an event time for real local elapsed days/hours/minutes/seconds.
Save + exportKeep trackers privately in-browser and export the next anniversary and milestones as all-day ICS events.

Counting conventions, made explicit

Standard: the event date is day zero. The following day is 1 day since the event. Include both dates: counts every date in the span, so event day through the next day is 2 calendar dates.

Weekday counts mean Monday–Friday only and do not imply working days or public-holiday rules. The optional pause tracker is a separate user-defined metric.

i
Date-only and live elapsed time answer different questions. The main result counts calendar days. The optional live clock uses actual local elapsed time from the event time to now and therefore follows your browser’s time zone and daylight-saving rules.
