The sample intentionally contains author/software/timestamp/XMP data plus an older PDF revision so you can test the verifier.
Audit what a PDF quietly reveals, remove active Info/XMP metadata without uploading the file, or rebuild a fresh visual PDF when you need old revision bytes gone too. Every output gets a before/after privacy check and residual-value scan.
Searches the complete output byte stream for metadata values found in the source.
Structure-preserving clean is the normal choice. It removes active metadata references while retaining the PDF's document structure and page content.
Fresh visual rewrite is the stronger privacy choice when old revision bytes must not travel with the file. It rebuilds pages from pixels and therefore sacrifices interactivity and text structure.
This tool targets metadata. Comments, attachments, scripts, hidden layers, visible secrets and other hidden document content are separate concerns. A dedicated sanitize/redact workflow is required when those must also be removed.
