OneFreePlace Tool #299

Video Rotator / Orientation Studio

Rotate, mirror and flip video locally with optimized right-angle transforms, arbitrary-angle horizon correction, smart canvas expansion and verified watermark-free exports.

90° fixes + custom anglesQuick phone-orientation repair or precise arbitrary rotation from −180° to +180°.
Mirror, flip & smart canvasHorizontal/vertical flips with expanded or original-size canvas behavior.
Rotation baked into pixelsConsistent playback across players instead of relying on fragile orientation metadata.

Right-angle turns use optimized transpose/flip filters; arbitrary angles use bilinear rotation with an explicit output canvas.

Orientation advisorFor a sideways phone clip, start with ±90°. For a tilted horizon, use a small custom angle and Expand canvas to avoid cutting corners.

Why bake the rotation?

Some videos depend on orientation metadata that one player respects and another ignores. This tool renders the chosen orientation into the picture itself for predictable playback.

90°, 180°, 270°

Right-angle rotations use optimized transpose/flip paths. They are the right choice for portrait/landscape mistakes and avoid the extra canvas area of arbitrary-angle rotation.

Custom horizon correction

Use any whole degree from −180° to +180°. Expand mode grows the frame so no corner is cut; Original canvas intentionally crops outside the existing rectangle.

Mirror and vertical flip

Mirror is useful for webcam or selfie footage with reversed text. Vertical flip corrects upside-down or scanner/capture workflows. Both can be combined with rotation.

Limitations

Pixel-baked rotation re-encodes video. Very large videos can require substantial RAM in a browser. Arbitrary angles can also create exposed background corners by geometry.

Privacy

Processing runs locally in the normal workflow. OneFreePlace requires no account, adds no watermark, and does not force your source video to a server.
