World-class safety choices

Token guardEvery non-whitespace token must survive byte-for-byte.
Modern syntaxCSS nesting, @layer, @container, @scope, SCSS variables/interpolation and Less variables are tolerated.

CSS / SCSS / Less

Auto detection identifies common SCSS and Less markers; you can override the syntax explicitly for ambiguous files.

Custom properties

The value of --token: declarations is preserved internally because whitespace can matter after var() substitution.
