Preview audit

Changes only the rendered presentation — never your Markdown.

Off by default. When enabled, HTML is allow-listed and still rendered inside a scriptless sandbox.

Off by default so opening a Markdown file cannot silently ping remote image hosts.

Detected front matter is excluded from article preview unless you explicitly show it.

Debounced locally. Use Ctrl/Cmd+Enter for an immediate refresh.

Keeps long document navigation aligned using scroll percentage without modifying content.

Off by default. Enable only if you want this browser to restore the current Markdown after closing the tab.

Local by design

Markdown is parsed in this browser. The tool has no conversion endpoint and does not require an account. Draft recovery is opt-in and off by default.

Two safety layers

Rendered HTML is allow-list sanitized and loaded into a sandboxed iframe without script permission. Dangerous URL schemes are removed.

Remote-image shield

External images are blocked by default because image requests can reveal your IP address and referrer to third parties.

Export behavior

HTML export contains the sanitized rendered article and local CSS only. It does not include editor controls or executable JavaScript.
