Do not treat UA as identity

User-Agent strings can be spoofed, reduced, frozen or compatibility-shaped. This parser reports clues with caveats instead of pretending the result is cryptographic truth.

Prefer feature detection

Use UA parsing mainly for diagnostics, analytics and known compatibility workarounds. For application behavior, feature detection and progressive enhancement are usually safer.

Client Hints are not universal

User-Agent Client Hints expose structured values in supporting browsers, but availability varies and high-entropy values have privacy implications.

What makes this parser different

It distinguishes browser branding from rendering engine, recognizes iOS browser wrappers, Android WebView, in-app browsers, common crawlers and API clients, flags frozen/reduced fields, compares Client Hints against the UA string, and never uploads logs. Results should still be treated as best-effort classification.
