Tool 453 · marksheet percentage lab
From raw marks to the number that actually matters.
Calculate one score, solve any missing variable, build a multi-subject marksheet with unequal maximums, compare weighted overall percentage against the misleading simple average, apply optional best-of-N and per-subject pass rules, and plan exactly what marks you still need.
Correct marksheet math: when subjects have different maximum marks, overall percentage is total obtained ÷ total maximum × 100. A simple average of subject percentages can be wrong because it gives a 20-mark paper the same influence as a 100-mark paper.

Reverse solve: leave exactly one of Obtained, Maximum or Percentage blank. The missing value is solved from the other two.

Every row can have its own maximum mark.

Policy note: “best of five,” division labels and pass percentages are not universal. Use Best-of-N only when your board, school or application rules explicitly permit it. This tool keeps the calculation transparent instead of applying a hidden regional convention.
