Record voice, music, meetings, interviews and sound directly in your browser. Monitor your microphone before recording, add markers while you speak, pause safely, then locally decode the finished take for waveform editing and processed WAV export without uploading your audio.
Finds quiet edges locally. It never cuts silence in the middle of your recording.
Raises the processed WAV so its peak reaches −1 dBFS. It does not compress dynamics or remove noise.
WAV applies trim, fades and optional normalization. “Original” preserves the browser's native recording container and does not apply edits.
Choose the microphone, requested sample rate, mono/stereo, countdown, echo cancellation, noise suppression and automatic gain. The tool shows the actual capture settings the browser/device grants.
Trim the recording, remove quiet edges, add fades, normalize the peak and export PCM WAV without uploading the audio to OneFreePlace.
Keep several takes in one session, add timestamped markers, import an existing recording, and recover browser-native MediaRecorder chunks after an interrupted recording when IndexedDB is available.
No for the core recorder. Capture, waveform processing and WAV export happen locally in the browser. The interrupted-recording vault also uses local browser storage when available.
Browser microphone APIs require user permission and a secure HTTPS/localhost context. Some chat/file preview surfaces intentionally block microphone access. The built-in demo take lets you test the editor even there.
The tool exposes the browser's native compressed recording when available and always provides processed PCM WAV. Browsers do not all provide the same recording codecs, so the interface reports the real native format instead of falsely promising MP3 on every device.
